VA
Education Benefits Now Available to Students at Salt
Lake Theological Seminary
SALT LAKE CITY, May
4, 2004– Salt Lake
Theological Seminary today announced that its Master of Divinity, Master
of Arts, and Doctor of Ministry programs have been approved for veterans
educational benefits under the terms of the Montgomery G.I. Bill,
Selected Reserve, Veterans Educational Assistance Program, and
Survivors’ and Dependants’ Educational Assistance Program. Approval is
effective retroactively to July 1, 2003.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for qualified
individuals who feel a call to ministry or chaplaincy to receive a
stipend from the VA while studying for their graduate theological degree
at our school,” said Ken Mulholland, seminary president. “The Veterans
Administration is making these benefits available to our students in
addition to the VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment benefits
previously approved.”
Students who qualify for VA education benefits are
encouraged to enroll in an approved course of study at the seminary. For
general information about veteran educational benefits, applicants can
call 1-888-GIBILL1 (1-888-442-4551) or visit the G.I. Bill website at
