Personal Background
Darwin
resides in Grand Rapids, MI with his wife Janet and daughters Rachael
and Kristin where he serves as Associate Professor of Church Education
and Director of MA Programs at Calvin Theological Seminary. Prior to
joining the faculty of Calvin Seminary he served as Professor of Bible
and Christian Education at Montreat College, NC. and served in a variety
of Christian education and youth ministry positions in Florida,
Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina. His daughters are avid swimmers
and as a family they enjoy mountain biking, camping, rock climbing and
mountaineering.
Why I teach at Salt Lake Theological Seminary
Salt Lake Theological Seminary's focus on equipping students to present
the truth of the gospel in an attractive and winsome manner, and the unique
cross-cultural context of Utah sparked my interest. The seminary's commitment
to equipping students to equip others to faithfully follow Christ continues
to challenge and lure me back to Salt Lake City.
