Personal Background

I grew up in the cultural cauldron of New York City, left for the mountains and valleys of the wider creation, and I'm loving every minute of this journey.

Why I teach at Salt Lake Theological Seminary

The mission of Salt Lake Theological Seminary embraces both personal spiritual formation and cross-cultural vision -- this excites me. God called me through the back door as I tried to avoid teaching in a typical classroom environment. At Salt Lake Theological Seminary I have been able to move beyond the typical academic ignorance and knowledge approach to education in order to explore the mysteries of sin and grace together with students. In this way, we discover the ways that the eye of our hearts may be opened and encountered by the One who is the truth.
